ABOUT WICHITA HUMMUS DAY.

For the third year in a row, the Wichita Eagle, as part of its Reader’s Choice Awards, has declared Meddys hummus as Wichita’s favorite and Wichita’s best hummus!  We are obviously very proud of our hummus, and it is an honor to be recognized by the great people of this community for providing the very best of this delicious dish.  We are also very honored to give back to this wonderful community by partnering with several deserving non-profits and other organizations that provide services and resources when our fellow community members need it most – a philosophy that we adhere to here at Meddys.

One such deserving organization is the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, the largest voluntary health organization dedicated to funding research, finding cures and ensuring access to treatments for blood cancer patients.   As you may know, September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month and Blood Cancer Awareness Month, so now is the perfect time to raise attention and money for this great organization.

With that in mind, Meddys would like to utilize our recognition as the crafters of Wichita’s favorite hummus to raise money and awareness for the Wichita Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.  It will be our version of paying it forward – with hummus!  So, on behalf of the all the great people who make up Meddys, we would like to declare third Saturday of every September as “Wichita Humus Day.”  Here’s how you can participate:

On the third Saturday of every September, come dine-in at any Meddys location and enjoy a free side of Wichita’s favorite hummus.  In return, all that we ask is that you consider donating to the Wichita Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.  Should you choose to donate, there will be donation boxes at every location.

Thank you to all those who voted in this year’s poll.  We promise to continue to provide the best hummus in Wichita, and we hope that you’ll come out on third Saturday of September to help us celebrate “Wichita Hummus Day” and to help raise money and awareness for the Wichita Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
